For the eighth consecutive year, the Green Bay Packers, Bellin Health, and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation are collaborating on the Packers Vs. Cancer campaign. This initiative aims to raise awareness of all cancers, fund research and care, and remind fans about the importance of early screenings.

"We're proud to kick off our Packers Vs. Cancer effort to show our support for the fight against cancer," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. "In previous years, we've heard from fans who say how this campaign has impacted them, from motivating them to get screened for cancer to being reminded that they're not alone in the battle against cancer. We're pleased to build on this program for another year along with Bellin Health and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation."

Packers offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins and cornerback Jaire Alexander joined representatives from Bellin Health and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation at the Bellin Health Cancer Team on Tuesday to officially launch this year's program. Jenkins is serving as a campaign spokesperson.

After the announcement, the group toured the Bellin Health Cancer Team facilities, which provide medical and radiation oncology, infusion services, palliative medicine, oncology genetics, physical and speech therapy, among other support services. Annually, Bellin Health administers approximately 15,000 infusions and 10,000 radiation treatments.

This year's campaign includes a new Packers Vs. Cancer hat. Five dollars from each hat sale will go directly to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. The green New Era winter knit hat features both the Packers logo and the Packers Vs. Cancer logo and is available in-store and online. Shoppers at the Packers Pro Shop can also contribute by adding a $1 or more donation to any purchase through October.

The campaign will be highlighted during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 29. Presented by Bellin Health, attending fans will receive a Packers Vs. Cancer rally towel. The game will include elements honoring cancer survivors and their loved ones.

"Educating the public on reducing their risk and the importance of early detection can truly make a difference in the fight against cancer," said Bellin Region President Chris Woleske. "We are so grateful to the Packers and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation for helping us amplify that message through this annual campaign."

Several Packers players will extend their efforts to high school students by visiting De Pere High School's game against West De Pere High School on Sept. 27. Community members are invited to attend as well. The event will feature a donation presentation supporting both schools' Sting Cancer programs.

Named after legendary coach Vince Lombardi, the foundation focuses on funding advancements in cancer research and compassionate care. Over seven years of collaboration with Packers Vs. Cancer initiative has supported various programs including pediatric care research and therapies for leukemia.

"The Green Bay Packers and Bellin Health are valued partners in Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation's work," said executive director Anne Marie Moss of Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation."The Packers vs.Cancer initiative unites a strong Packers football fanbase in fighting cancer."
