The Green Bay Packers have signed tight end Messiah Swinson to their practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction on Thursday.

Swinson, who stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 259 pounds, is a rookie from Arizona State. He initially joined the Packers as an undrafted free agent in April. After training camp, he was added to Green Bay's practice squad before moving to the active roster of the Carolina Panthers on September 4. Swinson did not play in any games for the Panthers and was released on September 24.

Swinson played three seasons at Missouri from 2019 to 2021, appearing in 23 games. He then transferred to Arizona State, where he played for two years (2022-2023). During his time with the Sun Devils, Swinson appeared in 24 games and recorded 21 receptions for 233 yards, averaging 11.1 yards per catch, with two touchdowns. He will wear No. 86 for the Packers.
