The Green Bay Packers have announced several roster changes. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs has been placed on the reserve/suspended list for one game due to conduct detrimental to the team. In his place, cornerback Robert Rochell has been signed from the practice squad to the active roster. Additionally, fullback Andrew Beck has been elevated from the practice squad for gameday participation. These transactions were confirmed by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Gutekunst addressed Doubs' suspension stating, "Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision to suspend Romeo for this week's game. His decisions and actions during the week negatively impacted the team and required us to take this action. While we are certainly disappointed, we are confident that we will be able to move forward in a positive manner. Romeo is a valuable member of our team and we look forward to welcoming him back next week."
Rochell has spent this season on the Packers' practice squad and participated in two games as a gameday elevation. His experience includes 39 regular-season games with five starts for both the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers over recent seasons.
Defensive lineman Jonathan Ford, who is recovering from a calf injury and currently within a 21-day practice window after being designated for return from injured reserve, will not travel or play this week.
