Jordan Hansen, the head coach of Prescott High School's varsity football team, has been named the Green Bay Packers High School Coach of the Week. In his fifth year as head coach, Hansen has led his team to an undefeated 7-0 record in the challenging Middle Border conference. The Cardinals are currently ranked fourth in their division by wissports.net and are preparing for a significant conference game that could secure them at least a share of the conference title.

Hansen attributes much of the team's success to its senior class. "We have a really good senior group of leaders that understand how to be servant leaders," he said. He emphasized that this group has worked hard to improve and inspire others within the program. Despite facing challenges, Hansen noted, "They didn't give up. They are still grinding and getting better."

The Cardinals have also focused on community involvement in Prescott. Players engage with local schools by welcoming students and participating in activities such as reading or playing games with them. "Whenever there's an opportunity that presents itself, we step up and try to help out where we can," Hansen stated.

Hansen began his coaching career after graduating from Winona State University in 2015. Before joining Prescott High School, he held positions at Holmen High School and Osceola High School. Reflecting on receiving the Coach of the Week award, Hansen remarked, "I think it's more of a team award for all our players, coaches, and community."

Under Hansen's leadership, Prescott's football program includes 55 players who all have opportunities to play in varsity games. His coaching staff comprises Eric Brown, Michael Koch, Ian Ruble, Jay Bartsch, Jake Holub, Matthew Voeltz, Payton Bartsch, Mason Bartsch, Jeremy Kerg, Weston Bartsch and Jake Block.

The Green Bay Packers' Coach of the Week program honors outstanding high school coaches during the football season with various awards including a $1,000 donation to their school's football program.
