The City of Green Bay is set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completion of Phase 1 of its Shipyard project. This event will take place on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Shipyard site located under the Mason Street Bridge off Broadway.

Mayor Eric Genrich, Deputy Parks Director James Andersen, and Deputy Development Director Matt Buchanan are expected to attend the ceremony. The new riverfront park space features various amenities including a waterfront promenade, fishing pier, floating docks, kayak launch, and fish and wildlife habitat improvements.

In addition to the ribbon-cutting, there will be announcements regarding upcoming events planned for next spring at the Shipyard. Attendees are encouraged to visit this casual gathering by the river to experience the newly completed space.

For more information about the Shipyard project, individuals can visit the City's webpage at www.greenbaywi.gov/shipyard. Further inquiries can be directed to James Andersen via phone at 920-448-3384 or email at james.andersen@greenbaywi.gov.
