The Green Bay Packers will don their 50s Classic Uniforms once again during the Week 9 game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, November 3. These uniforms, reminiscent of those worn from 1950 to 1953, feature an all-green design with gold numbers and stripes, green pants with gold stripes, and green socks.

This period in the early 1950s was not marked by significant on-field success for the Packers. However, it was a pivotal decade off the field, beginning with the departure of team founder Curly Lambeau and concluding with Vince Lombardi's arrival. The NFL experienced rapid growth during this time, fueled by increased television exposure. For the Packers organization, a critical stock sale ensured the construction of Lambeau Field and secured the team's future in Green Bay.

Fans can purchase items from the 50s Classic Collection at the Packers Pro Shop or online at packersproshop.com. Available merchandise includes jerseys, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, caps, knit hats, helmets, can coolers, pins, decals, coffee mugs, tumblers, pints and shot glasses.

The NFL's third jersey program allows teams to wear a third jersey for up to three games per season over five years. The 50s Classic Uniform is now in its fourth season since debuting in 2021.

Next Sunday's game will also promote the NFL Votes initiative as a reminder that Election Day is on Tuesday, November 5.

Later this season when facing the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12 on November 24th, the Packers will highlight their Salute to Service game presented by Fleet Farm. In Week 13 My Cause My Cleats campaign will bring attention to causes important to players. During Week 16 against the Saints there will be an Inspire Change Game honoring community efforts pregame; finally January’s matchup versus Bears marks annual Fan Appreciation Game.

Further details about each themed game will be released closer to their respective dates.
