The Green Bay Public Works Department, representing the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, has announced a temporary closure of the Donald A. Tilleman Bridge for its annual fall maintenance. The bridge, which spans Mason Street over the Fox River, will be closed on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
The closure is scheduled to begin at 6:00 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. During this period, East Mason Street will be closed at South Monroe Avenue on the east side of the Fox River, while West Mason Street will be closed at South Ashland Avenue on the west side.
A designated detour route will direct traffic via South Ashland Avenue, Walnut Street, and South Monroe Avenue. Despite these closures, access to residences and businesses in the area will remain open.
All operations related to the closures and detours are contingent upon weather conditions and may change accordingly. Motorists are advised to expect delays and exercise caution when navigating through the work zone. Alternative routes are recommended to avoid potential congestion.
