Dozens of Green Bay Packers players and staff will participate in the 'My Cause My Cleats' initiative during their game against the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving night. This NFL program allows players to wear customized cleats to raise awareness for causes they support, benefiting nonprofit organizations nationwide.
Players involved include Zayne Anderson supporting Family Connect of WI, Karl Brooks with Dementia Society of America, Kenny Clark backing U.S. Dream Academy, and Edgerrin Cooper promoting Happily Ever After Animal Sanctuary. Others like AJ Dillon are supporting the Dillon Family Foundation, while Rashan Gary raises awareness for Made By Dyslexia.
Additional participants are Elgton Jenkins for Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Christian Watson for both American Breast Cancer Foundation & Light of Life Foundation for Thyroid Cancer. The initiative also sees involvement from staff members such as Derrick Ansley with Henderson-Ansley Foundation and Matt LaFleur supporting Valley Kids Foundation.
The campaign concludes with an auction where fans can bid on game-worn cleats through NFL Auction, with proceeds going to each player's chosen charity. Players have collaborated with designers and artists to create their custom cleats showcasing their selected causes.
Violinist Lindsey Stirling will perform at halftime during Thursday's game at Lambeau Field. Known for her electronic violin performances combined with dance and aerial artistry, Stirling promises a unique show blending pop, classical, hip-hop, and electronica styles.
The Thanksgiving game starts at 7:20 p.m., broadcasted on NBC. For more details about gameday or the 'My Cause My Cleats' initiative, visit packers.com.
