The Green Bay Packers have announced that Kenny Clark, their defensive lineman, has been nominated for the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. This prestigious award recognizes NFL players who excel on the field and contribute positively to their communities.

This marks Clark's second nomination for the award, with his first being in 2018. Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy stated, "We are proud to nominate Kenny Clark for this prestigious award for the second time. A respected leader in the locker room, Kenny makes his presence known off the field, too. His commitment to the community, both in Green Bay and southern California, has only grown as he has excelled in his career. His dedication to giving back to young people is particularly impressive, and we're fortunate to have him on our team."

Clark began using his platform to make a difference when he joined the league in 2016. He focuses on helping kids and families across Wisconsin and Southern California through The Clark Family Dreams Do Come True Foundation. The foundation empowers youth by providing resources and mentorship regardless of their background. Among its activities is the annual Kenny Clark Dreams Do Come True Football Camp in California, offering free football training with NFL players and coaches.

Additionally, Clark supports Wisconsin families by assembling food packages and providing Thanksgiving dinners for 250 families in Riverside, California. He also donates celebrity dinners to Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay and hosts coat and toy drives.

During his tenure with the Packers, Clark has participated in various community outreach efforts such as signing autographs for charity donations and visiting children at Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He also took part in events with Brown County Pals Program and joined his second Packers Tailgate Tour to connect with fans across Wisconsin.

Clark's personal experiences have driven him to support children with incarcerated parents. He works as an ambassador for U.S. Dream Academy and raises awareness for Angel Tree, a program that provides Christmas gifts from incarcerated parents to their children.

As a nominee, Clark will wear a special helmet decal throughout the season recognizing his achievements both on and off the field.

All 32 nominees will be acknowledged during Super Bowl LIX week in New Orleans. The winner will be announced at NFL Honors on February 6th during a primetime awards special aired nationally on FOX and NFL Network.

Fans can participate in Nationwide's Charity Challenge by voting online or using social media hashtags from December 5th through January 6th. The nominee receiving most votes will earn an additional $35,000 donation from Nationwide towards their charity of choice.

Each nominee stands to receive up to $55,000 while the award winner could receive up to $265,000 donated towards their chosen charity thanks to contributions from NFL Foundation and Nationwide Foundation.
