Peggy Seegers-Braun, Athletic Director at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in Milwaukee, has been honored as the first recipient of the Green Bay Packers Athletic Director of the Year award. This recognition is a collaboration between the Green Bay Packers, the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA), and the InSideOut Initiative.

Seegers-Braun has dedicated 37 years to her role at DSHA High School, serving as a mentor and leader for young female athletes. Principal Dan Quesnell described her as "a model athletic director who is well organized and supports her coaches," highlighting her commitment to developing student-athletes both personally and athletically.

Reflecting on her career, Seegers-Braun stated, "I love what I do. I have dedicated my life to this profession and to helping young women reach their potential." She emphasized the significance of working at an all-girls Catholic school, saying it shaped her into who she is today.

Her involvement with the InSideOut Initiative also stands out in her career. The program focuses on purpose-based athletics by fostering a supportive environment for student-athletes' social-emotional development. Seegers-Braun praised its impact: "The InSideOut program is one of the best programs I've had the opportunity to be a part of."

Joe Ehrmann, President of the InSideOut Initiative, congratulated Seegers-Braun on receiving this honor. Stephanie Hauser, executive director of WIAA, acknowledged the positive influence of purpose-based strategies under Seegers-Braun's leadership.

Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Seegers-Braun excelled in sports during high school before attending the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. There she pursued a double major in Physical Education and Health Education while playing softball.

While grateful for this recognition from the Green Bay Packers, Seegers-Braun values her role more than any award. She remarked that winning was "very rewarding" but noted that she doesn't work for accolades; instead, she loves being an athletic director.

Seegers-Braun resides with her husband Don and their two sons Taylor and Connor.
