Registration is now open for the Schreiber Institute for Women’s Leadership annual event, Celebrate 2025, which will take place on February 27 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The event focuses on the connection between sports and leadership, particularly for women.

The event will feature keynote speaker Alicia Pelton, Program Director for Coaching HER at the University of Minnesota Tucker Center for Research on Girls and Women in Sport. Pelton will discuss "Playing Outside the Lines: Breaking Barriers and Leading in Sport and Life." She will address how managing emotional and mental well-being can help overcome barriers and push traditional boundaries in sport and leadership.

Pelton has over three decades of experience advocating for gender equity in sports. She was a founding member of the Wisconsin Women’s Soccer Advisory Council and has played a significant role in increasing girls' participation in hockey in Wisconsin by 25% over three years.

Abbey Sutherland, NCAA Division I Head Women’s Volleyball Coach and Senior UW-Green Bay Administrator, will also speak at the event. Sutherland was named Horizon League Coach of the Year in 2018 and graduated from the NCAA Women Coaches Academy Class #48 in 2019.

The event is open to women across the region as well as those who mentor them. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends or colleagues. Tickets are priced at $50 per person with discounts available for institute members, UW-Green Bay faculty, staff, and students.
