Titletown will host the sixth annual Titletown Winter Games on February 1 and 2, presented by U.S. Venture. This free event invites community members to engage in winter sports such as luge, curling, biathlon, cross-country skiing, and figure skating. These activities are supported by Olympic sports governing bodies including USA Luge, USA Curling, US Biathlon, US Ski & Snowboard – Central Cross Country Skiing and USA Figure Skating.

The event begins with an opening ceremony at noon on Saturday and continues until 5 p.m., resuming Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Participants are advised to bring bike or ski helmets; other equipment will be provided. Waivers must be completed before participation.

USA Luge will set up a course on Ariens Hill for the Luge Challenge with categories for boys, girls, men, and women. USA Curling will create an instructional course at Hy-Vee Plaza for curling lessons open to wheelchair users. US Biathlon offers an interactive experience using "infrared rifles" and ski equipment also accessible to wheelchair users.

Figure skating lessons require registration and are scheduled at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. each day; rink admission fees apply.

Ariens Hill closes January 31 through February 2 for the event while Hy-Vee Plaza adjusts its hours but remains operational with regular admission rates.

Volunteers are needed for the event; interested individuals can sign up online.
