The Green Bay Packers have added defensive lineman Leonard Payne to their roster under a reserve/future contract. The announcement was made by General Manager Brian Gutekunst on Wednesday.

Leonard Payne, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 301 pounds, is entering his first year in the professional league. He hails from the University of Colorado, having initially joined the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. However, he was released after the training camp.

During his college football career, Payne spent four years at Fresno State from 2019 to 2022 before transferring to Colorado for his final season in 2023. Throughout his collegiate tenure, he participated in 41 games and started in 17 of them. His performance includes accumulating 45 tackles—23 of which were solo efforts—along with achieving 7.5 sacks and making 12.5 tackles for a loss. Additionally, Payne forced two fumbles, recovered two fumbles, defended a pass, and blocked two field goals.
