The Green Bay Packers have announced that Brody Schaffer, a standout athlete from Winneconne High School, will participate in the Nike 'The Next Ones' program. This initiative is a collaboration between Nike and the NFL aimed at showcasing and developing some of the nation's top high school football players.

Schaffer will compete during Super Bowl week in a skills challenge against 31 other top players from across the country, each representing an NFL team, along with one international athlete. He will also get to experience behind-the-scenes activities leading up to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

"We are thrilled to have Brody represent the Packers at this exclusive athletic event," stated Ryan Fencl, Packers Football Outreach Manager. "His hard work and determination are evident both on the field and in the classroom. We are excited to be part of his journey as he joins an elite group of up-and-coming athletes."

As a junior at Winneconne High School in Wisconsin, Schaffer played a crucial role in leading his team, the Wolves, to a Bay Conference championship and into the WIAA Division 4 state semi-final game. Playing as both quarterback and defensive back, he accumulated 4,063 all-purpose yards, scored 48 touchdowns, made 54 tackles, and secured four interceptions during his junior year. His performance earned him first-team All-Conference and All-Region honors as well as recognition as a finalist for Wisconsin Player of the Year. Academically, Schaffer maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA.

"I am incredibly blessed and truly grateful for the opportunity to represent the Green Bay Packers at Nike's 'The Next Ones' event in New Orleans," said Schaffer. "Being 1 of 33 players selected is an amazing opportunity. I cannot wait to get out there and compete. Not only am I honored to represent the Packers, but I am also grateful to be able to represent the Winneconne community and the great state of Wisconsin."
