The Green Bay Public Works Department has announced a temporary closure of the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge for maintenance. The bridge, located at Dousman and Main Streets, will be closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic from February 19 through February 21, 2025.
The closure affects the bridge over the Fox River at Mile 1.58 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. During this period, the bridge will also remain secured to masted navigation until February 21.
Traffic impacts include closures east of the Fox River on Main Street at North Washington Street and west of the Fox River on Dousman Street at North Broadway. A detour is set up via North Broadway, East Walnut Street, and North Monroe Avenue. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout this period.
The department advises that all closures, detours, and work operations are weather dependent and subject to change. Motorists should expect delays, exercise caution in the work zone, and consider alternative routes.
