During the week of March 24-28, 2025, residents of Green Bay can place up to two cubic yards of bulk household items next to their trash carts for free curbside collection. Items such as sofas, tables, mattresses, and exercise equipment are included in this offer. These should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. on the designated collection day.

Residents who exceed the two cubic yard limit will incur charges for additional items. The city has specified that construction waste, electronics, appliances, and move-out debris will not be collected under this program. If these items are left at the curb, they will also result in additional charges.

For those needing to dispose of bulk household items outside of this period or beyond the allowable amount, drop-off sites are available at East Side Location (1820 Mills Street) and West Side Location (519 S. Oneida Street). Residents must show proof of residency when using these facilities.

The drop-off locations do not accept construction waste or recycling materials. Operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on the second and third Saturdays of each month from 7 a.m. to noon.

Additionally, residents can take waste including construction materials to the Brown County Transfer Station at 3734 W. Mason Street where dumping fees apply and safety gear may be required.

For further information about this service or other inquiries, residents can contact the Department of Public Works – Operations Division during office hours or visit their website.
