Green Bay Packers Give Back has awarded $250,000 in impact grants to five nonprofit organizations within Brown County. The beneficiaries include ASPIRO, Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin, CASA of Brown County, Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity, and Paul's Pantry. Each organization received a grant of $50,000.
These grants are part of the Packers Give Back Impact Grants initiative and align with the philanthropic interests of Green Bay Packers staff members. Employees support these organizations throughout the year through personal donations and volunteer work.
"The Packers are pleased to award impact grants to five organizations who advocate for youth and uplift our most vulnerable neighbors," said Mark Murphy, President/CEO of the Packers. "We are proud to support these nonprofits and the critical work they carry out every day in our community."
ASPIRO, Inc. focuses on providing opportunities for people with disabilities to achieve independence by connecting with their community and reaching personal goals. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin fosters one-to-one mentoring relationships aimed at empowering youth potential.
CASA of Brown County offers advocacy for abused and neglected children under court protection. Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity collaborates with individuals to build homes and foster hope within communities. Paul's Pantry supplies weekly groceries to families allowing them to allocate funds toward essential needs such as shelter and utilities.
The impact grants are a component of the larger Green Bay Packers Give Back program which contributed over $13 million in charitable efforts last year.
