Green Bay announces Earth Day event ahead of NFL Draft

Green Bay, WI - The City of Green Bay is set to host a press conference on March 17, 2025, at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. The purpose is to announce an AmeriCorps Earth Day and Arbor Day event scheduled just before the city welcomes the 2025 NFL Draft.

Mayor Eric Genrich, State Representative Amaad Rivera-Wagner, and Conservation Corps Coordinator Maria Otto will present details about this initiative. They aim to engage over 300 volunteers in environmental activities such as tree planting and park clean-up at the sanctuary.

The main event will occur on April 22, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It highlights a collaboration between Green Bay and AmeriCorps, focusing on conservation efforts ahead of the NFL Draft. Volunteers must pre-register online for participation.
