The Green Bay Packers have announced the signing of cornerback Nate Hobbs. The transaction was made public on Thursday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

Nate Hobbs, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 195 pounds, is entering his fifth year in the NFL. He began his professional career after being selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders, with the 167th overall pick. During his tenure with the Raiders, Hobbs participated in 51 games and started in 38 of them. His performance included a total of 278 tackles, with 199 being solo efforts. Additionally, he achieved three sacks, recorded 14 tackles for a loss, secured three interceptions, defended against 19 passes, forced three fumbles, and recovered one fumble.

Hobbs maintained an average of 5.45 tackles per game from 2021 to 2024, which ranked him second on the team among players who played at least 30 games. His contribution to the team's secondary was notable as he led with 14 tackles for a loss during that period. In the year 2023 alone, Hobbs set personal records with 86 tackles, seven passes defensed, and six tackles for a loss.

In recognition of his performance during his rookie season in 2021, Pro Football Focus awarded him All-Rookie honors after he appeared in all sixteen games and started eleven times. That season saw him record significant statistics including seventy-one tackles (fifty solo), one sack, one interception (INT), three passes defensed and one forced fumble.

As he joins the Packers roster, Nate Hobbs will be wearing jersey number twenty-one.
