The city of Green Bay has announced adjustments to Green Bay Metro Transit services to accommodate attendees during the NFL Draft scheduled for April 24-26, 2025. The announcement was made via a press release on March 21, 2025.
According to the city of Green Bay, Green Bay Metro Transit is implementing several service changes in preparation for the NFL Draft. A new route, named the Downtown to Titletown Route, will provide direct transportation between Downtown Green Bay and Titletown. This route will operate frequently to handle the anticipated high volume of attendees.
Additionally, Routes 8 and 9 will be detoured during the event. Route 8 will be detoured from April 13-23 and again from April 28 to May 2, while Route 9 will follow a detour from April 22-28. The GBM On Demand service will maintain its regular schedule; however, some street closures may affect drop-off and pickup locations. Passengers are encouraged to check real-time updates using the Bus Tracker.
Fares will be waived on both the Downtown to Titletown route and GBM On Demand service during All Zone times to facilitate easier travel for those attending the event. Several street closures around event areas are expected, which may cause service disruptions. Green Bay Metro Transit emphasizes safety and urges patience as attendees navigate these adjusted services.
Green Bay Metro provides various services including fixed-route buses, paratransit for individuals with disabilities, and a pilot microtransit program. Operating in Green Bay, De Pere, Allouez, Ashwaubenon, and Bellevue from Monday through Saturday, the system focuses on safety, customer service, reliability, cost-efficiency, and innovation. It also prioritizes public engagement and partnerships with local organizations. The goals of Green Bay Metro include enhancing service efficiency, improving community access, and supporting sustainability by incorporating technologies such as smart cards and real-time displays while maintaining an emphasis on safety and cost-effectiveness.
