The Green Bay Packers have announced the signing of linebacker Kristian Welch. The move was confirmed on Friday by Packers' General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

Kristian Welch is returning to the Packers after spending the prior season with both the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens. Welch initially joined the Packers' practice squad before the commencement of the 2023 regular season, eventually being promoted to the active roster on September 28. During his time with the Packers, he participated in 12 regular-season games and both postseason encounters, mainly contributing on special teams where he ranked third on the team with six tackles.

Before his time in Green Bay, Welch was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2020, following his college career at the University of Iowa. The Iola, Wisconsin native has played in 72 regular-season games and started twice between 2020 and 2024. During this period, he recorded 13 tackles on defense, as well as 27 tackles and a fumble recovery on special teams. Welch has also appeared in seven postseason games, registering four tackles on special teams.
