The Green Bay Area Public School District (GBAPS) has highlighted the story of Dexter McNabb, principal of West High School, as the NFL Draft approaches. McNabb's journey from being a player for the Green Bay Packers to becoming an educational leader was shared in a press release dated April 23, 2025.

McNabb was selected by the Packers in the fifth round of the 1992 NFL Draft. After spending several seasons in professional football, he transitioned into education and eventually became the head principal at Green Bay West High School. He attributes his success to his mother's support and discipline, emphasizing the importance of being a student-athlete. Although he had opportunities to continue his football career, McNabb chose to focus on education, earning a degree and ultimately taking on his current role.

According to McNabb, now in his second year as principal, he is dedicated to fostering both academic and personal growth among students. He aims to create an environment where students feel welcomed and supported, hoping they will remember his impact positively.
