The Green Bay Packers have made adjustments to their roster by signing cornerback Gregory Junior and releasing cornerback Kaleb Hayes. This announcement was made on Wednesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

Gregory Junior, a second-year player from Ouachita Baptist University, stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 203 pounds. He entered the NFL when he was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft as the 197th overall pick. During his time with the Jaguars in the 2022-23 season, Junior participated in ten games, where he recorded 17 tackles, including 11 solo tackles, two tackles for loss, and one pass defensed.

After being released by Jacksonville during the training camp in 2024, Junior spent time on practice squads for both the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans. His college career at Ouachita Baptist University saw him play in 44 games from 2017 to 2021. During this period, he accumulated a total of 129 tackles (91 solo), defended against 17 passes, achieved five tackles for loss, and secured one interception. Notably, Junior holds the distinction of being the first-ever draft pick from his university. He will be wearing jersey number 38 for his new team, the Packers.
