The City of Green Bay has officially designated The Press Times as the newspaper for its legal notices, starting June 1, 2025. This decision impacts all public notices and legal publications mandated by law, unless state statutes specify otherwise.

Public notices include meeting announcements, ordinances, bid solicitations, and other city-related business that must be publicly accessible under Wisconsin law. The designation ensures residents have a dependable source for these updates.

State statutes guide the selection of an official newspaper, requiring municipalities to publish certain notices in a widely circulated local newspaper. The City reviews this designation annually to serve public interest effectively.

City staff and departments have been informed of this change and will send all required legal publications to The Press Times until May 31, 2026. Residents can access public notices through both print and digital editions of the newspaper.

For more details on public notices or to view current and past ones, residents are encouraged to visit the City of Green Bay’s website at greenbaywi.gov.

Michael Bergman, Communications Director for the City of Green Bay, is available for media inquiries at (920) 448-3210 or (920) 934-0826. He can also be reached via email at Michael.Bergman@greenbaywi.gov.

The City emphasizes its commitment to transparency and keeping residents informed about official matters. For questions regarding this change or public notices in general, contact the City's Communications Office.
