On July 6, 2025, Rep. Wied expressed his enjoyment at attending a local event, stating "Had a great time this morning at the FFA Dairy Breakfast hosted by Wilke R Organic Farm in Door County!" The event highlights his engagement with community activities and agricultural initiatives.

The following day, July 7, 2025, he addressed concerns about public perception of law enforcement officers. In a tweet, he remarked "When Democrats and the mainstream media constantly vilify our law enforcement officers, this is the result." He added his hopes for an injured officer's recovery and emphasized support for those serving in law enforcement roles.

Later that same day, Rep. Wied criticized Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass in another post. He wrote "The only one who needs to leave here is Mayor Bass." This comment was part of a broader statement defending police actions and critiquing certain political priorities which he views as favoring non-citizens over citizens.
