The City of Green Bay has announced the return of its Fit in the Parks program, starting on July 14, 2025. This initiative offers free fitness classes across three locations in Green Bay's parks during July and August. The program is open to participants of all fitness levels.

Fit in the Parks includes various activities at Astor Park, Leicht Park, and St. James Park. Astor Park will host classes from Hotworx Green Bay on Mondays and Wednesdays. Leicht Park will feature Burn Boot Camp's "Burns & Brews" sessions on the same days, while St. James Park will offer Tai Chi and Pilates classes on Thursdays.

Special events include a Glow Zumba session at Leicht Park on August 1st. Participants can also enjoy free samples from THRIVE and Bona Fide Juicery during select sessions.

Maria Andersen, the City's wellness coordinator, stated that "Fit in the Parks is a self-sustaining program that relies on community partners and sponsors." The program aims to remove barriers to exercise by providing free outdoor classes.

The initiative is part of Green Bay's broader wellness efforts, including partnerships with local businesses for sponsorship opportunities. For more information about participation or partnership opportunities, interested parties can contact Maria Andersen at (920) 448-3365 or visit greenbaywi.gov.
