The City of Green Bay Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department is inviting community members to participate in shaping the future of St. John’s Park. A public input meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at City Hall's 2nd-Floor Council Chambers.

Parks Director Dan Ditscheit emphasized the park's historical significance and expressed a desire to gather public opinions on potential amenities and activities for the park over the next several decades. “St. John’s Park has served our community for generations,” he stated.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the master-planning timeline, review existing conditions and preliminary concepts, and share their priorities regarding recreation, environmental enhancements, cultural events, accessibility, and overall park character.

An online survey will be available for one week following the meeting for those unable to attend in person. Details can be found at greenbaywi.gov/Parks.

“Public feedback will guide everything from playgrounds and gardens to gathering spaces and public art,” Ditscheit added.

The event welcomes residents, businesses, community groups, and anyone interested in the park's future. City Hall is ADA-accessible with interpretation or auxiliary aids available upon request with a recommended 48-hour notice.

For further questions or comments, individuals can contact the Parks Department by phone or email as provided in their announcement.

Media inquiries should be directed to Michael Bergman, Communications Director for the City of Green Bay.
