On July 25, 2025, the City of Green Bay will honor Mark Murphy as he retires from his position as President and CEO of the Green Bay Packers. Mayor Eric Genrich expressed gratitude for Murphy's leadership since 2008, which has positively impacted the city and region.

Mayor Genrich stated, “First and foremost, Mark has been a truly decent, humble, and thoughtful leader of the Green Bay Packers.” Under Murphy's guidance, the Packers made eleven playoff appearances and won a Super Bowl championship. He also contributed to community initiatives like Titletown development and the Give Big Green Bay campaign.

“The Packers record of success during Murphy’s tenure adds a remarkable chapter to the history of the most storied franchise in professional sports,” said Genrich. In recognition of his contributions, Mayor Genrich presented Murphy with a Key to the City.

The Nitschke Bridge and Starr Bridge will be illuminated in green and gold on July 25 to commemorate "Mark Murphy Day" in Green Bay. The proclamation highlights Murphy's commitment to excellence and community values throughout his tenure.

The city extends its thanks to Mark Murphy for his dedication to both the team and community as he enters retirement.
