An event for all ages is set to take place at Bay Beach Amusement Park Pavilion in Wisconsin on July 13 and 14. The LEGO display event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on July 13 and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on July 14, with an admission fee of $1 per person.
The event will feature working amusement park rides created by the Kenosha Lego Users Group (KLUG) and castle builds from the local Lego users group FoxLUG.
In addition to the displays, LEGO building contests are scheduled for July 13. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m., and spots are limited. There is a $5 entry fee, though children aged two to five can enter for $1. DUPLOs/LEGOs will be provided for all contests except the Open Category.
The contest schedule is as follows:
- For ages two to five, the contest starts at 11:00 a.m., with six time slots and five spots per slot. Participants will compete to build the highest tower in five minutes, with awards presented at 12:15 p.m.
- For ages six to nine, the contest starts at 11:00 a.m., with three time slots and ten spots per slot. Participants will create amusement park-themed builds in fifteen minutes, with judging at 12:15 p.m. and awards at 12:25 p.m.
- For ages ten to twelve, the contest starts at 12:45 p.m., with three time slots and ten spots per slot. Participants will also create amusement park-themed builds in fifteen minutes, with judging at 2:10 p.m. and awards at 2:20 p.m.
- For ages thirteen and older, there is one time slot from 2:30-2:45 p.m., accommodating ten participants who will create amusement park-themed builds in fifteen minutes. Judging will occur at 2:55 p.m., followed by awards at 3:05 p.m.
- The Open Category Contest runs from 3:00-4:00 p.m., where participants can bring their LEGO creations from home or build onsite (LEGOs not provided). Judging takes place at 4:00 p.m., with awards presented at 4:15 p.m.
