Green Bay Area Public School District announced that the Board of Education approved a five-year strategic plan at its March 17, 2025, meeting. The announcement was made in a press release.

According to the press release, the Board of Education approved the continuation of the district’s mission to prepare all students for college, careers, and community involvement. A vision statement outlines expectations for graduates to be skilled, adaptable, and ready for future success, aligning with the Portrait of a Graduate framework. Additionally, the board established strategic priorities and goals to guide district initiatives over the next five years.

The district's strategic plan for 2025-2030 outlines key priorities aimed at enhancing student achievement, well-being, workforce development, and community engagement. Academic goals include improving English language arts and math performance, increasing ACT scores and graduation rates, and expanding access to advanced coursework and industry credentials. The district also seeks to foster a thriving student body by enhancing social and emotional wellness, strengthening student-teacher relationships, increasing extracurricular participation, and ensuring all secondary students have personalized success plans.

Workforce initiatives focus on staff retention, professional development, and workplace safety, with targets for increased staff engagement and credential attainment. Family and community engagement efforts will ensure all schools actively involve parents and local partners, with progress tracked through data monitoring and survey responses. These priorities aim to create a supportive learning environment and drive long-term student success.

The Green Bay Area Public School District is located in Northeast Wisconsin and is the fourth largest public school district in the state. It serves over 18,000 students across 39 schools. Founded in 1856, the district includes the communities of Allouez, Ledgeview, Bellevue, Green Bay, and Scott. It offers a variety of educational pathways to meet the needs of students. The district has a long history that includes the century-old football rivalry between East and West high schools as well as City Stadium being the original home field for the Green Bay Packers.
