Green Bay Area Public School District announced that Preble High seniors presented marketing plans to local professionals in the 2025 Chick-fil-A Advertising Pitch Contest on March 13, 2025. The announcement was made in a press release.

According to the release, over seven weeks, 19 students in Preble High School’s senior business marketing internship course developed marketing plans for the new Chick-fil-A in Bellevue, Wisconsin. They presented their strategies to a panel of 11 professionals, including Chick-fil-A owner/operators, Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich, Superintendent Vicki Bayer, and marketing leaders from the Green Bay Packers and the community. Their presentations featured a variety of promotional strategies, including print and digital advertising, social media campaigns, video content, and billboard designs.

The students crafted their plans based on a single 45-minute discussion with Bellevue Chick-fil-A owner/operator Preston Waala. Their work will continue beyond the presentation as both Waala and another Chick-fil-A owner/operator, Justin Knight from Indiana, intend to incorporate elements of the students' ideas into their businesses. The course is taught by Mark Bonetti and is an annual opportunity for seniors to develop marketing plans for real businesses.

Preble High School serves over 2,100 students in grades 9-12 and offers a range of academic and extracurricular programs. These include a Certified Nursing Assistant Program, a Culinary Arts Program with a commercial-grade kitchen, and engineering and career education pathways that lead to industry certifications. Students have access to over 20 athletic teams and more than 60 clubs and activities covering academics, community service, leadership, theater, and special interests.
