GREEN BAY, Wis. – The LeadGB Girls and LeadGB Boys youth leadership camps have announced that they have openings for this summer. These camps are hosted at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay as part of the institution's summer camp lineup. The LeadGB Girls camp, targeting girls from 1st to 8th grade, is scheduled for June 16-20 and June 23-27, 2025. Meanwhile, LeadGB Boys will cater to boys in 4th through 8th grade from July 14-18, 2025. Those interested are encouraged to register soon.

Local leaders Chelsea Faase and Chuck Brehm run LeadGB, drawing on years of educational experience to create meaningful programming for attendees. The camps aim to foster life skills that emphasize resilience, relationship building, effective communication, and a focus on physical and mental health, equipping participants for future success.

LeadGB seeks to bridge the gap between current male and female leaders and the youth who will eventually step into these roles. Campers engage in team-building exercises that present various physical, mental, and social challenges. The camps incorporate practical activities, talks from community leaders, and education promoting healthy life choices. The participants thus gain insight into personal growth as both individuals and prospective leaders.

Participants are involved daily in various activities, including reading about inspirational figures, interactive games, creative projects, and physical exercises. Mentorship, storytelling, and confidence-building are core elements designed to support campers in future pursuits.

The curriculum for LeadGB camps is updated annually, encouraging repeat attendance to build upon previous experiences. Nicole Schutte, whose child attended the 2024 LeadGB Girls camp, expressed her satisfaction, stating, "We couldn’t have been a part of a better organization! My daughter is already so excited for next year!"

UW-Green Bay hosts several programs and camps during the summer. Further details about all their offerings can be found at www.uwgb.edu/camps.
