Luxemburg-Casco School District had the highest enrollment among Kewaunee County districts, welcoming 2,001 students during the 2022-23 academic year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.9% of them were boys, and 49.1% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 90.4% of the Luxemburg-Casco School District's total enrollment.

Among the three districts in Kewaunee County, Kewaunee School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 861 students, while Algoma School District welcomed 664 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Luxemburg-Casco School District roughly covers schools within Kewaunee County, with its main office in Luxemburg.

In the previous school year, Luxemburg-Casco School District also had the highest number of students among Kewaunee County districts.

Nearly 830,000 students were enrolled in Wisconsin schools in the 2021-22 school year. This is a 0.85% decrease from the year before. In sharp contrast to declining public school figures, enrollment in charter schools rose 4.5% to more than 52,000.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 14 students in a Wisconsin classroom, compared to the national average of 1:16. AAA State of Play considered Wisconsin to have the 14th best teacher to student ratio in the U.S.
