The Schreiber Institute for Women’s Leadership at UW-Green Bay has partnered with Honor Jensen to launch an executive coaching program for women in Northeast Wisconsin. The initiative, named ‘Women on the Rise,’ is designed to support women leaders who aim to overcome traditional barriers and advance in their careers.
“We created ‘Women on the Rise’ as a direct result of hearing the needs and wants of women in our community,” said Pa Lee Moua, executive director for the Schreiber Institute for Women’s Leadership. “At the institute, we believe in empowering women. Through this collaboration, we aim to address the unique challenges and opportunities women face as they progress in their leadership journey.”
The program will commence with an in-person mini-retreat in September 2024, followed by virtual sessions and group work from October 2024 through April 2025. It will conclude with an in-person event on May 25, 2025.
Participants will engage in interactive workshops, personalized coaching, and peer-to-peer support. They will develop strategies to enhance their leadership skills and prepare for executive roles. Key areas of focus include establishing a meaningful career vision, elevating executive presence, leading with a coaching approach, leveraging storytelling for influence, converting challenges into opportunities, understanding business dynamics, and transforming mindsets from "stuck" to "empowered."
“While the barriers to entering the C-suite as women are real, we often make the journey harder than it needs to be,” said Honor Jensen. “I don’t just help women gain clarity with a clear vision and strategic game plan; I empower them to develop critical skills, challenge their assumptions and beliefs and channel their energy to thrive in both business and life while honoring their whole and authentic self.”
Participants will be selected based on their commitment to shared goals that foster trust, collaboration, and confidentiality.
