Hundreds of people attended sold-out performances at the Bayshore Arts Center on the UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus over two weekends. The events included the West Shore Chorale winter concert and the Christmas on the Bay production, both breaking attendance records.
Bayshore Arts Center Director Lauryn Albaugh expressed gratitude for the community's support. "I am simply blown away by the community support and interest we are experiencing at the Center. I am full of gratitude," she said. She emphasized that the center and UW-Green Bay have opportunities to create engaging programs for all ages in Marinette.
The West Shore Choral presented their winter concert, “Sure On This Shining Night,” to a standing-room-only audience on December 8. Although admission was free, more than $1,400 was collected through a free-will offering to support the chorale program. Jane Wells directed this event.
The annual Christmas by the Bay production titled “A Rockin’ Poppin’ Christmas” featured a live band, singers, and dancers from First Street Academy of Dance. Directed by Brittany Welch Pilz in collaboration with First Street Academy of Dance, this event saw record-breaking ticket sales leading to three sold-out shows.
